Alright, you’re locked in for your session—now you’re probably wondering, “What do I need to bring?”
Good news: you don’t need to pack like you’re going to camp. But a little prep goes a long way toward making sure your photos feel personal, powerful, and all you.
Here’s the cheat sheet:
✅ What to Bring
1. Uniform(s)
Bring your full game-day uniform—jersey, shorts/pants, socks, whatever completes the look. If you’ve got both home and away versions, bring both. I may want to shoot a few in each.
Bonus points if it’s got some battle scars on it. Fresh is good, but game-worn grit hits different.
2. Gear That Matter
This is a must for making the photos feel real. Think:
- Helmets, gloves, bats, sticks, pads, cleats, etc.
- Anything you use to compete—bring it.
Not sure if you’ll need it? Bring it anyway. Worst case, we don’t use it. Best case, we create magic with it.
3. Personal Touches
This is what separates a “cool photo” from a memorable one.
- Wrist tape with a message? Bring it.
- Custom mouthguard? Slap it in.
- Lucky socks? On your feet.
- That one medal or championship ring? Let’s go.
These are the little things that tell your story. Don’t leave them behind.
4. Extras
- Towel + water (stay fresh, especially if it’s hot out)
- Hairbrush/hair ties if you’ve got longer hair
- Athletic tape if you use it—clean or worn
- A change of clothes for afterward (if needed)
❌ What to Leave at Home
- A giant audience. One parent/supporter is cool—bringing the whole squad? Not so much.
- Loud distractions (looking at you, Bluetooth speaker blasting trap remixes).
- Anything that’s not game-day energy. This shoot is all about the athlete you’ve become.
TL;DR: Bring the Stuff That Tells Your Story
You don’t have to overthink it. Just bring the gear, the uniform, and the little things that matter to you.
I’ll take it from there.
